One van.
A personal welcome.

Aventura is an owner-run, three-berth camper. The people who designed the camper are the people you’ll speak to, from your first question to the handover in Aspatria.

We’re finishing the fit-out for a first season planned for April 2027. The images show the design; your reservation is subject to the camper being ready for hire. We’ll share photographs of the finished van before handover.

        Questions

        Before
        you ask.

        Driving

        What licence do I need?

A full UK or EU car licence (category B), held for at least two years. Drivers must be 25 or over. The camper weighs 3,500 kg, so no extra entitlement is needed.

Can I take the camper abroad?

No. The camper is for UK travel only and must not be taken abroad.

Is the camper hard to drive?

The camper is 6.4 m long and drives like a large van. We walk you through the camper at handover, and our circuits avoid the steepest passes. The camper is too tall for car parks with height barriers, so we'll tell you where to park.

Where do I collect the camper?

From our base in Aspatria, near Wigton, on the northern edge of the Lake District. The collection directions are arranged privately before handover.

Collection times and what to bring ↗

        Staying

        Can I wild camp?

Overnight stays in the Lake District need a campsite or a landowner's permission. We'll suggest pitches that suit the camper’s size along your circuit.

        What should I bring?

Clothes, food and walking boots, plus a small folding table and chairs if you'd like to sit out by the water. Bedding, towels and the kitchen kit are already on board.

        Booking

        Which days can I book?

A weekend runs from Friday afternoon to Monday morning, and midweek from Monday afternoon to Friday morning. You can also book a full week, Friday to Friday, or ten nights from a Friday to the Monday after next. Collect from 2 pm and return by 10 am.

        When can I book?

You can reserve available dates now for stays from April 2027, subject to completion of the fit-out. Your dates come off the calendar immediately and you receive a reservation confirmation by email. No deposit is due until February 2027.

        How do deposits work?

Your dates are reserved now without payment. We’ll email to request the 25% hire deposit from February 2027 to confirm the booking; the remaining hire balance is due at collection. A £500 security deposit is held at collection and returned within seven days.

What if I need to cancel?

Before paying a deposit, you can cancel your reservation without charge. If the camper is not ready for your trip, you can choose new dates or cancel for a full refund of any hire payments. After paying the deposit, cancel 30 or more days before collection for a full deposit refund, or 14 to 29 days before for 50%. Within 14 days the deposit isn't refundable, so we recommend travel insurance.
